It certainly is reassuring, assuming that it’s true. Right, everyone stay away from bath salts, please? Just in case. While a Zombie Apocalypse obviously makes for great entertainment, I kind of don’t want to experience one in real life. Or anything even remotely resembling one. :P

Sure, why not…? Thanks for asking! Well, aside from having a ton of supplies (which would be useful in any sort of drastic situation I suppose), I would get myself and my loved ones out to my father in law’s house. It’s a huge farmhouse on a ton of property out in the middle of nowhere, up on a hill (relevant because it’s secluded, yet we’d be able to see anyone coming), and there’s virtually no neighbors. There’s a ton of supplies there, including several generators, food, etc. My father in law is a gun dealer, so there are plenty of weapons and ammunition. He also collects hunting knives. The man is more or less a legit friggin’ cowboy. He can literally shoot a quarter from his hip, no joke. It’s about the safest place I can think of to be (at least for a while), and he’d be one hell of a leader. :)

In my opinion, while the whole thing is completely horrifying, I think there’s probably a lot of overreacting going on…by both the public and the media (which naturally feed off one another - er, no pun intended). Not to mention, there seems to be a lot of reaching (as in the media trying to relate other criminal acts/cases that are most likely not related to the Miami and/or Jersey incidents). As for the CDC stepping in and denying rumors that zombies exist, it seems a bit ridiculous to be honest, but I suppose it was probably necessary (mass panic is never a good thing). Whatever the hell is going on, my heart goes out to those affected by each of these crimes, whether they’re related or not.
All that being said, you can be damn sure that I have a Zombie Apocalypse Plan and I’m ready to put in play if need be. I mean isn’t this exactly how we all imagines it would start…with a couple of weird stories on the news…? :P
